When you really thought it was just gonna be dread, but then this plays and the witness spawns just to delete a team mate.

I’m gonna be honest the theme for taken taniks sounds better than the witness theme. Personally this is probably my least favourite finale boss theme for someone whose the biggest bad of Destiny 10 year journey his theme is very underwhelming it’s not bad but I still prefer the herald of finality boss theme than him

I did this encounter first attempt with an lfg somehow after they were struggling with a friend.

Once you get past that first DPS it finally sets in *it can bleed* and from then on out the music reflects that

15:30 this part wrecked me, I really don't know what else to say about this ending, there were so many emotions, and this relief in the music was simply sensational, one of the best missions and best soundtrack that Bungie has ever created, this idea of ​​putting the final boss of the raid as a playable mission for 12 people it was brilliant, it managed to make all players feel the emotion of being in a raid, you feel part of the game, you are part of the game

Its a shame because the dps and siva density portion of this piece is good. The rounds/ambient piece of the track is just mediocre unofrtunstely. Doesnt help that this raid came out with the worst year long expansion in destiny history. Poorly designed raid too sadly.

after a year of sitting and listening to this theme, Im so 50/50 on it. on the one hand, this is probably the best darkness/disciple theme and an amazing head bopper. but on the other hand, i do not like the DPS Bungie went with at all. 1:24 - 1:52 stops the flow and rhythm of the song, it gives me whiplash. 3:16 just flows better into this part. and the implementation of it in game is not great as well, the theme really bleeds into itself because the boss is so damn easy. the boss being so easy also hurts this theme for me. its the only time i actually prefer the Bungie uploaded version, because they replaced 1:24 with 3:16. tho i think im the only one with this opinion. everyone i talked to said i am crazy with this opinion.

It’s amazing how it is already, but I really wish they tied ‘make your own fate’ to a threshold on the witness’s health for the raid as well as excision. Similar to the Fatalis fight in monster Hunter world. So when the witness got below a certain amount of health the full song would play in the background as a way of encouraging the players to push forward. The classic destiny damage phase music timing is still fine tho

Taniks or not, WHO IS IT? And why is it a raid boss in the last DLC of the Light vs Dark Saga? You can't just throw some random Fallen Captain in the raid of the WITNESS without any knowledge of How it came to acquire this form and or power. Unless there's some lore i'm missing, then i'll do diligent research.

I love M. Salvatori but this isn't acceptable for a boss of this magnitude. The boss in the seasonal activity has a better theme. Hell, a fan made a better theme than this called Self Justifying Teleology that actually turns the darkness motif heroic during dps. This is so disappointing.

Haven’t done the raid yet cus i’m so busy with kids and work since it’s summer 😔 but im so looking forward to doing this raid so bad it looks so fun and the music in this raid js sends chills down my spine lol

Completing this on Solo Legend should have given us an achievement or something. Lol, I died so many times and when I finally understood the mechanics and beat it, I was yelling! What an awesome first fight against the Witness to just barely injure him. Then the raid to actually land some hard blows to him. Then the spectacular Excision mission where all the allies and races showed up with you and some other Guardians to finally kill him. Bungie couldn’t have ended this Light versus Darkness saga any better imo

Sorry but this ost for the final fight after a 10 years saga is trash and nothing else. It sounds like a poor ost from a bad MMO china mobile game. way to less emotional stress or a this is the last chance to stop the end feeling. More a don't worry guardians, this is made for casual losers, you got this, no matter how bad you are. They should look an eye on "Crypt" from Halo 5 for example. way more powerful than this.
